Joshua Hewitt

Joshua has over 15 years’ experience in finance, audit and assurance, and corporate mergers and acquisitions. He is a qualified accountant and hold membership with the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Institute of Company Directors.

Joshua started out his professional career at BDO in audit and assurance whilst completing his Institute of Chartered Accountants qualification, finishing in the firm as Manager following a short stint as a Group Financial Controller / interim Chief Financial Officer for a construction services business before returning to a corporate advisory role in Mergers and Acquisitions for a boutique firm.

Joshua’s experience includes holding Non-Executive Directorship positions on boards, managing large scale transactions both to Private Equity / IPO exit events, capital raising, complex deal structuring, negotiation of debt and alternative financial instruments term sheets, and managing high performing teams.

The move into software at Jonas has shifted his focus to technology, where over the last 4.5 years Joshua has focused on the strategic plan and execution of the corporate M&A function within the portfolio where he continues to build a strong Australasian M&A function.
