Our Origin Story

In 2010, Jonas Software took a bold step by acquiring Centaman, a leading provider of software solutions for the attractions and leisure industries. These were entirely new verticals for Jonas at the time, but what made this acquisition truly remarkable wasn’t just the industries Centaman served—it was its location. Centaman was headquartered in Sydney, Australia, on the opposite side of the world from Jonas’ home base in Toronto, Canada.

This move marked a turning point for Jonas. Previously focused on acquisitions within North America, the Centaman acquisition opened the door to global expansion and laid the foundation for Jonas ANZ. With a presence in Australia, Jonas ANZ began actively seeking industry-specific software businesses across the Australasian region, building strong partnerships and diversifying into new markets.
